Issue Feedback - Jira Administrator panel

We’ve given Jira administrators extra tools to give more control of the add-on functionality.

 

A separate panel for administrators has 3 sections dedicated to it’s own feature:

  • Configuration List

  • Bulk Creation

  • Report

 

Go to:

Jira → Manage apps (Add-ons) → Issue Feedback → Global Configuration

 

 

  • Configuration List

 

If you are Jira administrator, this section is quite essential if you want to know what projects already have configured feedback forms. Finding all the required information can be done here.

Table below represents the project and what issue types have feedback configuration. Accompanied with the direct link to add-on configuration in project menu.

 

 

Use global search field to find the project you need.

 

  • Bulk Creation

 

This section allows Jira administrator to save time and create multiple feedback configurations for several projects and issue types at once!

 

The basic features of feedback form creation are the same as in project menu, but with some exceptions.

In addition to the original functionality there are 2 new mandatory fields:

  1. Projects

  2. Issue types

 

To create several feedback configurations administrator must select projects and issue types for which these feedback configurations must be created.

After all of the required information is put into the suggested form, press Bulk Add to create feedback configuration for each issue type in every selected project if possible.

You can see the result of bulk feedback configuration creation in the special logs panel.

Panel is divided into tabs representing the results of bulk feedback creation. These tabs represent the outcome of the creation process by showing the events that can be of 3 types: successful, warnings and errors.

 

  • Notification

 

Any Issue Feedback email notification has a certain template and an image as header.

This template and email header image can be set up for each project individually and also globally for the whole Jira.

Global setting will be used in every project by default unless changed manually.

To change global add-on email template setting go to: Manage apps → Issue Feedback → Global Configuration → Notification.

 

On this tab, Jira administrator can change general templates used in all projects by default.

 

Find and press edit icon in the upper right corner of a template you want to change.

In edit mode you can change text template of the email and upload a new banner.

Press Save to confirm changes.

 

You can always roll back the changes and return to the original template simply by clicking "Return to system default".

 

  • Report

 

Each report section in every Jira project allows project administrators to get reports on particular project only. While Jira administrators can get feedback results on several projects within a single report.

 

Select one or more projects in the corresponding field to get report on particular projects or leave field as is to search for results among all projects in Jira.
